West Bolivar extended the longest winning streak in 2A Region 4 this week by beating Riverside, 56-2. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
West Bolivar took down the Bulldogs 56-2 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kylan Johnson threw for 206 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 40 yards in the win.
Hakeem Johnson was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 17 carries, he ran for 176 yards as South Delta defeated Riverside. Terry Montgomery also contributed to the rushing game with 166 yards on the ground.
Hall was the best wideout in the league this week as the Eagles bested Warren West's team. Hall racked up two receptions for 60 yards. William Lloyd helped West Bolivar's passing attack out by catching two balls for 52 yards.
5-foot-11 quarterback Johnson of West Bolivar is the league leader in passing yards this season with 845. He has also thrown eight touchdowns. On the ground, the Bulldogs' Johnson has rushed for 1369 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Ray Harper. The Riverside star has 21 catches for 308 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Bulldogs take on South Delta. At the moment, Riverside is in fourth, while Derrick Hooker's team is in first.
Simmons made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,183 from 8,661. The improvement came about via a 52-6 victory over Marshall last week.
