Mesquite (Gilbert, Ariz.) snapped the four-game winning streak of Campo Verde (Gilbert, Ariz.), with a 30-0 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Payton Haslam to
Jarrod James in the first quarter, the Wildcats were up 17-0 at the half.
Mesquite grew its lead to 23 points entering the fourth quarter. MHS scored once in the quarter on a Haslam touchdown pass to
Juan Giraldo.
The Wildcats came into the game allowing 15.2 points per game. Campo Verde's zero points were well below their season average of 37.8 per game.
The loss comes after Campo Verde defeated Poston Butte 42-7 last week.
