Basketball Recap: East Bay Piles Up the Points Against Freedom

East Bay won the last time they faced Freedom and things went their way on Tuesday too. The East Bay Indians took their game with ease, bagging a 59-11 victory over the Freedom Patriots. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Bay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Victoria Whitfield, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Those 17 points gave Whitfield a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Za'Myria King, who posted ten points along with seven steals and six boards.

East Bay was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

East Bay is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.4 points per game. As for Freedom, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

East Bay has already played their next game, a 60-26 win against Jefferson on the 22nd. As for Freedom, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 38-35 defeat against Blake on the 22nd.
