Bear River posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They really took it to Logan for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-15 win at home. The victory was just what Bear River needed coming off of a 59-33 defeat in their prior matchup.
Aubree Fry and Shelby Wilkinson were among the main playmakers for Bear River as the former scored nine points along with five assists and four steals and the latter scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilkinson has scored all season. Olivia Fry was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Green Canyon's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Bear River, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Green Canyon have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Bear River struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
