Franklin Central found their leader in underclassman Payton Duvall, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 blocks. Those 12 blocks set a new season-high mark for her. Lily Graves was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Franklin Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Charlestown, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Franklin Central will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Columbus North at 7:45 p.m. on December 27, 2023. Columbus North is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.5 points per game. Charlestown won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Eastern on December 28, 2023. Eastern will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 330th, while Charlestown is ranked 73rd).
