The Gloucester Fishermen were the 45-42 winner over the Danvers Falcons when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Gloucester fell 55-42 to Danvers on Friday. Gloucester has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Danvers was led to victory by Zachary Calabro and Kevin Ahearn. Calabro scored 16 points, while Ahearn scored 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Logan Metivier was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds.
Gloucester dropped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Danvers, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gloucester will take on Swampscott at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Swampscott and Gloucester are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Danvers, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Peabody Veterans Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Peabody Veterans Memorial has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 346 points over their last five contests.
