The Bartram Trail Bears had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Niceville by a score of 28-21 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but Bartram Trail sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Bartram Trail's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Riley Trujillo, who rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 122 yards and two touchdowns. Laython Biddle also helped out as he racked up 169 rushing yards.
Bartram Trail is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Niceville, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.
Bartram Trail will head out on the road to face off against Buchholz at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Buchholz is on a five-game streak of home wins, Bartram Trail a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Niceville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
