The Amboy Clippers stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. Everything went their way against Earlville as Amboy made off with a 45-20 win. The team accrued 33 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.
Despite the defeat, Earlville saw an underclassman step up: Addie Scherer scored four points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Earlville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. This was only their 14th loss (out of 17 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Amboy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season. As for Earlville, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-24.
Amboy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Earlville also has no future games currently scheduled.
