Parowan is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Kanab on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Rams had to suffer through a 58-19 loss at the hands of the Cowboys. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-6.
Although Parowan took the loss, they still got scores from Josh Waller, Tracen Neilson, and Cooper Heath.
The home team had won the previous five meetings between Beaver and North Summit, and Beaver kept the tradition alive. The Beavers took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-6 victory over the Braves. Considering the Beavers have won four matchups by more than 30 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Parowan better keep an eye on Davin Orton. He was instrumental in Beaver's win, throwing for 133 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten passes, while also punching in one TD on the ground.
Beaver was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 260 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 165 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Beaver's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Parowan, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
Friday's contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Hunter Bettridge and Orton. Bettridge just won't slow down this season and has thrown 9 touchdowns while averaging 93.3 passing yards per game. Orton has been a dominant force too and has thrown 7 touchdowns (and no picks) while averaging 95.9 passing yards per game.
