Mason Mccarty Turns in Season-Best Effort
Crawfordsville was led to victory by Mason Mccarty, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mccarty rushed for 109 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 74 yards and two touchdowns. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August.
Crawfordsville moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak. Mccarty will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Cascade on Friday.

Crawfordsville was led to victory by Braeden Hites, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Hites rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making four total tackles.
Frankfort's probably not too fond of Hites given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Hites saw the Hot Dogs), he rushed for 91 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries.

Another Game with at Least 105 Rushing Yards from Rolando Castillo
Rolando Castillo's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his fourth-straight game with 105+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He made seven total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Frankfort is on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9. Castillo and Frankfort will take on Huntington North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Danville Wins Eighth-Straight Thanks to Sutton Fulwider
Sutton Fulwider's big game helped extend Danville's winning streak to eight on Friday. North Montgomery had no answer to Fulwider as he made five total tackles and defended two passes. Fulwider also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making five total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception.
Danville pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Fulwider and Danville will head out to face off against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Malachi Walden Dazzles in Tri-West Hendricks Win
Rounding off our Top Five is Malachi Walden of Tri-West Hendricks. Walden threw for 204 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 passes, and also rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown. Tri-West Hendricks is 4-1 when Walden posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.
Walden must have Southmont's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Walden saw the Mounties), he rushed for 205 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.
