Basketball Recap: Schulenburg's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

If Louise wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Schulenburg, they should've done a better job of containing Jenna Guentert. Everything went the Schulenburg Shorthorns' way against the Louise Hornets on Tuesday as the Schulenburg Shorthorns made off with a 57-35 win thanks in part to Guentert, who posted 11 points and five boards. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Michaela Kollmann was another key player, putting up nine points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in rebounds (three).

The victory made it two in a row for Schulenburg and bumps their season record up to 12-7. As for Louise, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Schulenburg will take on Weimar in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Louise and Bloomington will compete for holiday cheer at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
