Colony had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They won by a run and slipped past the Kodiak Bears 9-8. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Cody Otto and Boman Marks did most of the damage at the plate: Otto scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-4, while Marks scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. What's more, Otto posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hudson Broeder, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Coincidentally, Colony and Kodiak will both be playing South Anchorage the next time they take the field. The Knights will host the Wolverines at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bears will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
