Lloyd Memorial won the last time they faced Newport and things went their way on Wednesday too. Everything went the Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts' way against the Newport Wildcats as the Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts made off with a 22-1 win.

Conner Drake made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Drake was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

In other pitching news, KJ Nussbaum looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, Hayden Hungler was excellent, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Paul Soard was another key player, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two RBI.

Lloyd Memorial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .769. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Newport only posted an OBP of .222.

Lloyd Memorial now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Newport, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
