The Mundelein Mustangs will head out to  challenge the Grayslake North Knights  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Mundelein is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2  runs per game  this season.

 Will Bemrich looked comfortable as he  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. What's more,  he posted five  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024.
 At the plate,  Nick Szalony was a standout: he scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jake Junia, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Mundelein  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glenbrook South only managed three  hits.
 Meanwhile, Grayslake North was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They came up short against  Harlem, falling  8-2.
 Mundelein pushed their record up to 7-1-1 with the  win, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Grayslake North, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
 Mundelein came out on top in a nail-biter against Grayslake North in their previous meeting  back in May of 2021, sneaking past  2-1. Will the Mustangs repeat their success,  or do  the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
