Wren were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Powdersville 69-7. Powdersville can consider this payback for the 24-38 loss they dealt Wren the last time the teams encountered one another.
Wren's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 28 points in the first half. Powdersville came up with 7 to make it 28-7 heading into the break. The offense for Wren continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 41 points. The game pushed Powdersville down to 0-1 and pulled Wren up to the reverse 1-0.
Wren are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Easley next week at Easley HS at 7:30 PM. Powdersville will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Clinton at 7:30 PM.
