East Central got a massive performance out of Seth Strobl, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits Strobl has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Noah Long, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
East Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rushville only posted an OBP of .375.
Meanwhile, Lawrenceburg has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.79 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Rushville 13-12. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Ryan Richard was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. T.J. Tibbetts was another key player, going 4-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
East Central's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-7. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lawrenceburg, their victory bumped their record up to 16-8.
Lawrenceburg's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: East Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. It's a different story for Lawrenceburg, though, as they've only averaged .253. Will they be able to contain East Central's hitters?
