Even though the Victoria West Warriors scored an imposing 62 points on Friday, the Miller Buccaneers still came out on top. Miller skirted past Victoria West 64-62. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Miller has posted yet this season.
Miller got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Damare Lister out in front who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Alex Zamora, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Miller has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Victoria West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Ray the next time they take the court. Victoria West will head out to face Ray at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Miller will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
