The North Fork Miners gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 31-15 win over Telluride. That result was just more of the same for these two, as North Fork also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Fork to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sidney Neff, who scored 4 points along with 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Athziry Vasquez, who scored 8 points.
North Fork's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Telluride, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
North Fork will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Coal Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on December 14th. Telluride is on the road again on Friday and play against Plateau Valley at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th.
