Hopefully Central of Coosa County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
You can't lose the matchup if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Central of Coosa County's strategy against the Rebels on Tuesday. Central of Coosa County put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 54-29 win. Central of Coosa County pushed the score to 43-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rebels had little chance of recovering from.
Central of Coosa County relied on the efforts of Jerquesha Heard, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and eight blocks, and Ka'Zyriah Johnson, who scored 18 points along with five assists and four steals. Heard is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Myrakel Coleman, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Comer only won by two when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 27-point they dealt the Fighting Tigers on Wednesday. Comer breezed by the Fighting Tigers at home to the tune of 48-21. The win was nothing new for Comer as they're now sitting on three straight.
Central of Coosa County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Comer's record is now 8-12.
Central of Coosa County couldn't quite finish off the Tigers in their previous meeting on Monday and fell 38-35. Can Central of Coosa County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
