Basketball Recap: Walkertown Piles Up the Points Against North Forsyth

There's no place like home for Walkertown, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the North Forsyth Vikings 69-23. With the Wolfpack ahead 50-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Walkertown's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamir Wilson, who went 5 for 9 en route to 18 points. Those 18 points gave Wilson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaden McCandies, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points.

Walkertown was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Forsyth only racked up two assists.

Walkertown's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-9. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for North Forsyth, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Walkertown didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-53 victory against McMichael on the 4th. North Forsyth has also already played their next game, an 81-57 defeat against Oak Grove on the 5th.
