The Fort Worth Christian Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Southwest Christian School Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Fort Worth Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Midland Christian at home and fell 52-21.
Despite their loss, Fort Worth Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Luke Dodd, who threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns, was perhaps the best of all. Aiden Skiles was in the mix too, providing Fort Worth Christian with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Southwest Christian School fell victim to Liberty Christian's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Warriors 49-0. While losing is never fun, Southwest Christian School can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 592nd, while Liberty Christian is ranked 37th).
Fort Worth Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Southwest Christian School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.
