The Wright City Lumberjax put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Smithville, posting a 62-31 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Wright City, who have now won seven matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.
Wright City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madison Carter, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Carter has scored at least 25% of Wright City's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Reich, who scored 13 points.
Wright City pushed their record up to 11-0 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Smithville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
Wright City will head out on the road to face off against McCurtain at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. McCurtain will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 176th, while Wright City is ranked fifth). As for Smithville, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Earlsboro at 1:00 p.m.
