The Admiral Farragut BlueJackets lost against the Northside Christian Mustangs back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The contest between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Admiral Farragut falling 57-41. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 644th, while Northside Christian is ranked 288th).
Northside Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lilyana Scull led the charge by scoring ten points. Ava Somers was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Admiral Farragut has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Northside Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Admiral Farragut will be playing at home against Hollins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northside Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Canterbury at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Canterbury will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
