Lakin hasn't had much luck against Cimarron recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Broncs will host the Bluejays at 4:00 p.m. The last three games Lakin has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Thursday, Lakin didn't have quite enough to beat Hugoton and fell 7-6.

Liberal hit Cimarron with a six-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bluejays fell 13-10 to the Redskins. The Bluejays have struggled against the Redskins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Zayla Hunsaker and Ashlynn Randa did some serious damage despite the final result: Hunsaker went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Randa went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Becker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Cimarron's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Lakin, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lakin hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Cimarron struggles in that department as they've averaged .367. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lakin came out on top in a nail-biter against Cimarron in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 6-5. Will the Broncs repeat their success, or do the Bluejays have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
