Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for Irvington Preparatory Academy, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 53-12 loss at the hands of the Crusaders. Irvington Preparatory Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-5.
Indianapolis Scecina Memorial found their leader in underclassman Mia Miller, who scored 12 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariangela Gascon, who scored five points along with four steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Irvington Preparatory Academy and nudges their season record down to 2-16. As for Indianapolis Scecina Memorial, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-16.
Irvington Preparatory Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Indianapolis Scecina Memorial won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Royals at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Eastern Hancock knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully the Crusaders like a good challenge.
