Tyree Simmons ran for five touchdowns to lift

The Panthers' standout player in the win was Simmons. The senior wide receiver caught one touchdown. He has now scored 10 touchdowns on the season.
The defeat comes as a step back for Hawthorne, which notched a 31-14 victory over Animo South Los Angeles in its previous outing. With the win Gardena extended its winning streak to three games.
Hawthorne (1-3) goes up against Leuzinger in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Gardena (3-0) locks horns with University also in a non-conference game.
