It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Dibble Demons had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Cashion at home to the tune of 72-26. The win was familiar territory for Dibble who now have nine in a row.
Jag Norman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 247 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Norman is absolutely dominating the rushing yard category: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season. Austin Maddox was another key contributor, picking up 188 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Dibble pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Wayne and 1-9 Healdton (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 24.2% over those games). As for Cashion, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Dibble will face off against Walters at TBD on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Walters is ranked 157th, while Dibble is ranked 162nd). Cashion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
