Fairfield was led to victory by Mikayla Pugh and Erin Schwertfeger. Pugh scored 12 points along with 3 steals, while Schwertfeger scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds.
Fairfield's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Oxford, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Fairfield will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Classical on December 12th. As for Oxford, they will head out on the road to face off against Norwich at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
