Hayezon Jackson Turns in Season-Best Effort
Clayton Valley Charter was led to victory by Hayezon Jackson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Jackson rushed for 224 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (110.7) per game. His longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards.
The victory was the third in a row for Clayton Valley Charter, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. Jackson will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Acalanes on Friday.

A Season-Best Effort from Josh Elerts Leads Acalanes over Miramonte
Josh Elerts produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Acalanes to the win on Friday. Elerts rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and making a tackle.
Acalanes pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Elerts and Acalanes will take on Clayton Valley Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Roman Mercado Dazzles in Las Lomas Defeat
While Las Lomas might've come up empty on Friday, Roman Mercado wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Mercado as he picked up 192 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
If the past is any indication, Mercado could be in store for another big game when he takes on Campolindo on Friday. When Mercado last faced the Cougars back in October of 2023, he picked up 204 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Big Game from Blair As Miramonte Fell 35-28
Miramonte had to settle for second on Friday, but Carson Blair sure wasn't going down easily. Nobody could stop Blair as he threw for 348 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 36 yards and two touchdowns.
Miramonte's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. Blair and Miramonte will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Las Lomas at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Dylan Thomas Makes It Two for Las Lomas
The second Las Lomas player making an appearance here is Dylan Thomas, and for good reason. He threw for 316 yards and three touchdowns.
