The Shenandoah Zeps are taking a road trip to challenge the Monroe Central Seminoles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Shenandoah turned things around against Shadyside on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over the Tigers. The Zeps' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Aliyah Harding made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Harding was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Shenandoah got a massive performance out of Addy Harbaugh, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Harbaugh a new career-high. Karlee McKee also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Shenandoah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Monroe Central made easy work of Barnesville on Tuesday and carried off a 15-4 victory. Considering the Seminoles have won eight matchups by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Shenandoah, Monroe Central also got a great game from a two-way player: Kamryn Winland. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Winland was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Allie McFredrick was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Jadyn Miller was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one double.
Shenandoah's record now sits at 3-10. As for Monroe Central, their record is now 10-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Shenandoah hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Monroe Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs.
