The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bassick in their matchups with Amistad: they've now lost three in a row.
Amistad's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from LaShaya Patterson , who almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 12 rebounds, and nine blocks. Patterson is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Fatema Thomas, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Bassick has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Amistad, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
