The UIC College Prep Firecats suffered their biggest loss since November 22, 2023 on Saturday. They were dealt a 67-37 loss at the hands of Julian.
Despite the loss, UIC College Prep had strong showings from Jayden Coleman, who scored 12 points, and Marcus Moore, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Moore continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Adam Matthews, who scored nine points.
UIC College Prep has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Julian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.
UIC College Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Wolcott College Prep at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Julian, they will head out on the road to take on Hirsch at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Hirsch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Thursday.
