After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Glide, Oakland was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. They walked away with  a   13-9  win over the Glendale Pirates.  Tanner Swearingen was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  tossed 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. Those  two  runs gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Alex Vanassche was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and two  runs. He has become a key player for Oakland: the team is 2-1 when he posts  at  least  three  RBI, but 0-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was  Gabe Williamson, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Oakland  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .571. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Oakland's victory  ended  a  five-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 2-7. As for Glendale, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the  loss, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 Looking ahead, Oakland will head out to  face off against Oakridge  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Glendale, they will face off against Rogue River at 2:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Pirates are facing the Chieftains at the right time seeing as the Chieftains are stuck on  a  five-game losing streak.
