Xavier Butler Dazzles in South Gwinnett Win
Starting off the list is South Gwinnett's Xavier Butler, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Butler rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 115 yards and a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.

Eric Ramey Iii produced his most outstanding game to date while leading South Gwinnett to the win on Saturday. Ramey Iii rushed for 148 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
For the year, Ramey Iii has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 106.3 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 18.33 rushing yards per game.

The win got Newton back to even at 3-3. Johnson and Newton will head out to take on Rockdale County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Rockdale County got the W thanks in part to Jakobi Jones playing the best football he has all season. Jones picked up two sacks, forced two fumbles, and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Rockdale County moved to 4-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. Jones and Rockdale County will look to defend their home field on Friday against Newton at 7:30 p.m.
