There's no place like home for the Bell Creek Academy Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They took down Specially Fit Academy 70-55 on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Caleb Sanders, who shot 4-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double on 30 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jermal Jones, who scored 18 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Bell Creek Academy's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Specially Fit Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-14.
Bell Creek Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against McKeel Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Specially Fit Academy, they will take on Miami Country Day at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
