The River Dell Golden Hawks came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 49-45 win over Westwood. That result was just more of the same for these two, as River Dell also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead River Dell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sean Golden, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Golden has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aditya Pandya, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
River Dell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Westwood, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. River Dell will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Braves at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. Indian Hills is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home. As for Westwood, they will head out on the road to challenge the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
