The Houlka Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Houston 68-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Houlka also won the last time the pair played back in November.
Houlka's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elijah Kilpatrick, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Kilpatrick's third in a row with at least ten points. Elijah Foster was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Houlka pushed their record up to 7-6 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Houston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Houlka will take on Potts Camp at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Potts Camp knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Houlka likes a good challenge. As for Houston, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodward Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Woodward Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
