The Granada Bobcats won the last time they faced the Wiley Panthers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Granada came out on top against Wiley by a score of 48-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Granada.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Granada to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mariah Sigala, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Paula Aguirre, who scored six points along with 14 rebounds and four steals.
Granada's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.9 points per game. As for Wiley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granada will face off against Holly at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Holly focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 49 last Saturday. Wiley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Kit Carson at 3:00 p.m. on January 12th. Kit Carson is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.5 points per game.
