Meanwhile, Brookland-Cayce came tearing into Friday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 42-20 margin over Lake City. Brookland-Cayce might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matches by 22 points or more this season.
Philip Simmons' win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Brookland-Cayce, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2.
