The Luverne Tigers waltzed into Saturday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Paxton by a score of 47-40.
Despite the defeat, Paxton had strong showings from Sawyer Adams, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Collin Stewart, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Luverne's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Paxton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Luverne will take on McKenzie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully McKenzie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. As for Paxton, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Laurel Hill at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th.
