Indio had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They put the hurt on the Yucca Valley Trojans with a sharp  15-1 victory. With that  win, the Rajahs brought their scoring average up to 6.4  runs per game.
 Alyssa Perez made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Audra Higgins and  Carmen Gordillo did most of the damage at the plate:  Higgins  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI, while  Gordillo  went a perfect 3-for-3 with four  RBI and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  Gordillo has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was  Clover Cordova, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.
 Indio  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .559. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Indio now  has a winning record of 10-9. As for Yucca Valley, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 7-6-1.
 Coming up, Indio will welcome La Quinta  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Yucca Valley will be paying especially close attention to the Rajahs'  contest: after the Rajahs faces off against the Blackhawks, they'll take on Yucca Valley again  at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
