Football Recap: Jaden Upshaw Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Coffee + How To Watch

Lee County won the last time they faced Coffee and things went their way on Friday too. Lee County was the clear victor by a 35-14 margin over Coffee. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Lee County just coasted through the last quarter.

Lee County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaden Upshaw out in front who picked up 134 receiving yards and three TDs. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Upshaw a new career-high. Jordan Bush was another key player, throwing for 139 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

Lee County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 231 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Coffee lost, don't look at Kentavius Debruce. Despite the final result, he rushed for 151 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Debruce also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Coffee is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Lee County's record is now 5-2. As for Coffee, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Lee County and Coffee will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Trojans see the field they'll take on Veterans at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th. As for Coffee, their break will end when they face Houston County at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
