Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Hartley). Everything went their way against Whetstone on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-5 win. Considering the Hawks have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Morgan Bailey and Chelsea Gautier did most of the damage at the plate: Bailey went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Gautier went 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and three RBI. Those four runs gave Gautier a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hannah Ziegler, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Bishop Watterson's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-4. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Bishop Hartley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Bishop Watterson came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop Hartley when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 11-10. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
