Christ Church Episcopal extended the longest winning streak in A Region II this week by beating Southside Christian, 39-0. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
St. Joseph's Catholic led the league in scoring this week after putting up 61 points on Whitmire.
The Wolverines' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Austin Jenkins threw for 40 yards and West Jenkins had 34 yards receiving. On the ground Alex Ellison chipped in 22 yards. John Burnside helped Whitmire's passing attack out by catching one ball for six yards.
The Sabres' John Walker and Colby Boggs have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Walker has thrown for 1719 yards this season, while Boggs has 54 catches for 674 yards. Sam Miller from Whitmire leads the league in rushing with 230 yards.
There should be lots of points scored when Southside Christian and Donald Addis' team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Steve Lockwood's team comes in having scored 132 this season, while the Wolverines have scored 12. The Sabres scored 0 points last week as they lost to Christ Church Episcopal.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Don Frost's team takes on the Knights. The Cavaliers have allowed 70 points this season, while St. Joseph's Catholic has given up 170. Christ Church Episcopal allowed 0 points last week as it beat Southside Christian.
