Meanwhile, McKinley Tech faced Dunbar in a battle between two of the state's top teams. McKinley Tech strolled past Dunbar with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 68-53. The win was nothing new for McKinley Tech as they're now sitting on three straight.
McKinley Tech's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but DaMontae Neclos led the charge by scoring 19 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Dunbar, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
St. Anselm's Abbey has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for McKinley Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
