There's no place like home for High Plains, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Osceola Bulldogs on Tuesday as the High Plains Storm made off with a 62-37 win. The Storm have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 25 points or more this season.
Leading High Plains to victory were Peyton Hofmann and Emma Brown. Hofmann went 6-for-11 en route to 18 points in addition to seven steals and five assists, while Brown dropped a double-double with 19 points and 15 boards. That's the most points Brown has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Courtney Carlstrom, who earned eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: High Plains was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Osceola only posted four assists.
Despite the loss, Osceola still got an impressive performance from Bella Recker, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 15 boards. Osceola is 8-3 when Recker posts ten or more rebounds, but 1-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Addison Theis, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.
High Plains' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32 points. As for Osceola, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
High Plains wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 41-32 win against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley on the 14th. As for Osceola, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-34 defeat against Heartland on the 13th.
