It was a good run, but the Osawatomie Trojans unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Erie by a score of 44-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Osawatomie has suffered yet this season.
Despite the defeat, Osawatomie saw an underclassman step up: Jasper Sallee scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Stevenson, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Ethan Dillinger was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds for Erie. Dillinger is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Richenburg, who scored eight points.
Osawatomie's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Erie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
