Basketball Recap: Make It Nine in a Row for Christ the Cornerstone Academy

Christ the Cornerstone Academy had won eight straight games and Will Jackson did his part to make it nine on Tuesday. The Christ the Cornerstone Academy Defenders claimed a resounding 74-42 victory over the Cornerstone Christian Academy Cougars thanks in part to Jackson, who went 11 for 20 on his way to 28 points and five boards. The matchup was his tenth in a row with at least ten points.

Mac Hunt was another key player, putting up five points and five steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

Jordan Lemmon and Isaac Tadlock certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Lemmon posted 21 points, while Tadlock scored 13 points.

Christ the Cornerstone Academy's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.6 points. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Christ the Cornerstone Academy is facing Sandhills Classical Christian at the right time seeing as Sandhills Classical Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Cornerstone Christian Academy Cougars duke it out with the Mintz Christian Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
