Foundation Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Calvin Griffin out in front who posted 19 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. The match was Griffin's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Hagan, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Cambridge Christian over Riverview Academy of Math and Science in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Cambridge Christian blew Riverview Academy of Math and Science out of the water with a 67-35 final score. The Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 23 points or more this season.
Cambridge Christian's win came from a few key players Foundation Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Caden Martinez, who went 10 for 13 en route to 22 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. Ian Jansen was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Cambridge Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.
Cambridge Christian pushed their record up to 12-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.8 points. As for Foundation Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Foundation Christian Academy has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Cambridge Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
