South County won against Fairfax on Friday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Stallions beat the Lions by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-2. Winning may never get old, but the Stallions sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Julia Niner made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

In other pitching news, Maddie Grice looked comfortable as she tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Ava Abromavage, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Mrowka, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

South County's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Fairfax, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

South County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Lake Braddock on the 20th. As for Fairfax, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology on the 27th.
